Whether it is performing scripted work, sharing their love for improv, working as theatre staff at the university or doing flips in the studio, performance and theatre creation is Caiden Cline’s heart and soul. Between a rich gymnastics background, French education, and organizer for social change, they draw from all avenues of life to strive to create subversive experiences for any witness. After taking a break from stages to pursue mechanics, Caiden’s reintroduction to theatre began as a BAA Live Entertainment Production student in Red Deer, but later returned to Lethbridge to explore the function of theatre as a forum for radical social change. His written work challenges the meaning of convention, often containing elements of deconstruction, sexuality, movement, and performance art.
Caiden Cline is a retired National-Level Competitive Trampoline and Tumbling gymnast, and has expanded his skills into Sport Acrobatics and Circus. You may have seen him in the Canada Winter Games 2019 Opening Ceremonies, woohoo! Caiden is a multitalented theatre creator, performer, and technician. They also sing, dance, act, and is a self-taught musician across a wide variety of instruments. If it can make sounds, Caiden could probably play it. In the grand scheme of things, Caiden hopes to open a Social Theatre and Circus company for vulnerable and struggling youth. He has completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dramatic Arts — Performance and Theatre Creation) for the University of Lethbridge, and graduated with distinction.
